British Empire Medal Honours Tina May of Christian Malford and Foxham WI

Christian Malford and Foxham WI are pleased to announce that one of their members, Tina May, has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year’s honours list!

This was awarded to Tina in acknowledgment of her outstanding contribution to the local communities within North Wiltshire where she works as the local postmistress in the following villages, Avebury, Brinkworth, Broad Hinton, Bromham and Foxham. Tina also helps her husband Kevin to run the local village stores in Christina Malford where she also plays a significant role in a number of village groups and activities.

The recent article in the Wiltshire Gazette mentioned that Tina was a WI member and that she had served as their president for three years.

Christian Malford and Foxham WI are so proud of Tina achieving this award, which is richly deserved and they have sent her their congratulations. They all know that Tina “goes above and beyond” what most individuals will do to support their local community.

She will receive her BEM from the High Sheriff of Wiltshire and will also be invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace – two new outfits and more prosecco!

We all look forward to hearing more about these events and seeing the photographs. Congratulation Tina from everyone at WFWI!
