Lady Ann Foley Event Review

Over 80 members attended the Lady Ann Foley Event on Monday 7th August 2023 at the Seend Community Centre.

On arrival members enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee as well as a slice of delicious home made cake. They were also able to meet friends, browse the stalls, buy raffle tickets and take away posters for forthcoming WFWI events.

Members all enjoyed listening to Lady Ann who shared her experiences of when her late Majesty the Queen & HRH Prince Phillip came to stay at Government House on the Island of Guernsey whilst her husband was Lord Lieutenant on the Island. Her talk was very entertaining and humorous much to the delight of the audience. She shared the delights of traveling in the Royal Helicopter versus the Military Ones, traveling also with the Royal Party to the Islands of Alderney and Sark.

Daphne Atkinson Federation Events Team Chair thanked Lady Ann for her talk and presentation. The afternoon concluded with a raffle and a reminder to members of the forthcoming Federation events, to book now to avoid disappointment.
