During the ‘lockdown’ period the ladies of Marlborough WI have kept in touch with each other by holding regular Zoom meetings which have included a display of hats and a quiz. They have contributed to their own Marlborough WI Newsletter distributed to the members by email and have set up a new interactive Facebook Group page. They have enjoyed sharing with each other their recipes, book recommendations, poems, crafting activities, gardens and nature notes. Several members have also participated in the ‘Denman at Home’ online courses which have proved to be both interesting and good value. All these activities have helped to keep the spirits up during these difficult times.
The ladies are now looking forward to being able to meet in person again and hope to hold their first meeting together out of doors, at a safe distance, with a ‘bring your own’ picnic on Marlborough Common.
