Prince Albert . . . The Greatest King We Never Had

Approximately 25 members attended a Zoom talk by Margaret Mills from Essex. Margaret showed many slides involving Albert & Victoria's life and gave a very comprehensive explanation of Prince Albert's life from his first visit to England, his marriage to Victoria and his early death. Margaret also explained that Albert had said that after his death he did not want any memorials or statues, however Queen Victoria wanted statues to recognise her late husband's work so the Albert Memorial and Albert Hall were two examples.
Daphne thanked Margaret and then advised members of forthcoming events. The meeting finally closed at 11.45am.
