Jeremy Mainwaring-Burton L.V.O. gives a highly entertaining, illustrated account of what it was like to stay at the Castle of Mey shortly after the King died in 1952.

Castle of Mey is the only property the Queen Mother ever owned, and she would spend three weeks there every August surrounded by members of her household, staff, and a number of guests. Jeremy first stayed their in the late 1970s when serving in the army as the Queen Mother's equerry and on numerous occasions thereafter as one of Her Majesty's guests. Ticket price includes tea/coffee on arrival and a slice of homemade cake.
