As Sherston WI was unable to celebrate its 80th birthday on 3rd October 2020 as planned due to Covid, the committee decided to create a ‘Meeting in a Bag’ to mark the occasion.
One committee member made reusable fabric bags into which they put inside a packet of sunflower seeds for a competition next year (hopefully), a tube of hand cream, a quiz and the latest copy of the Wiltshire news.
The committee then delivered these in person to all their members. Unfortunately, they chose the wettest weekend for months but they did have the opportunity to chat socially distanced on the doorstep.
