Having had to postpone their Christmas get-together because of Covid, Atworth WI decided to hold a belated social evening on May 30th, and combine it with a celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Their WI Treasurer, Lesley Adam very kindly offered to host the evening. On the menu was, of course, Coronation Chicken! It had been hoped that they could dine "alfresco" but the weather dictated otherwise. However, it did brighten up sufficiently to allow for tours of Lesley's beautiful garden. Helen Snowball played the piano during the guests' arrival, which was followed by an impromptu sing-song. The lovely evening was rounded off by Jerusalem and, naturally, the National Anthem.
