On Monday 28th November 2022, Daphne Atkinson (Wiltshire Federation New Speaker Secretary) welcomed 80 WI Members attending the New Speaker Day at the Village Hall, Broughton Gifford. They were entertained by seven speakers ranging from 'How to keep fit', 'Working & training police dogs', 'Nutrition and eating healthy', 'How to survive in family life with someone who takes drugs etc', and 'The neuroscience of Alzheimers'.
A pre-ordered luncheon was provided followed by tea/coffee with a slice of home made cake which was well received. Daphne invited members to take away the relevant events posters for 2023, and also asked for more helpers at events. If anyone is interested in joining Wiltshire Federation Teams for the future, please contact Daphne or the Federation Secretary.
The day ended with the raffle and everyone was thanked for attending. Daphne wished everyone Seasons Greetings and she looks forward to seeing everyone at the next event.
