Wiltshire women supporting domestic abuse victims

In collaboration with the Swindon-based charity Society Without Abuse (SWA), we are proud to announce that a number of Women's Institutes (WIs) now have trained Domestic Abuse Ambassadors.
These Ambassadors are equipped to support anyone who may be experiencing domestic abuse in any form.
Our goal is to have two trained Ambassadors per WI, and we are pleased to share that the next face to face training date will be on Wednesday 24th September (venue to be confirmed, but likely to be in the South West of the county).
What the Training Covers:
This half-day training (available online or in person) will empower you to:
Raise awareness and keep domestic abuse on people’s radars
Be a safe, confidential point of contact for those in need
Listen empathetically while understanding how to safeguard yourself and others
Signpost individuals to professional support services
Stay informed about the latest support organisations and resources
