Over 116 WI members attended the Royal Chef event held on Monday 3rd April 2023 at the Village Hall Hilperton. They were entertained by Colin Alderson, a Royal Chef to her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Colin gave a visual and humerous presentation on his life in Royal Service having worked in all the Royal Palaces, the Royal Yacht Britannia, and had travelled worldwide with her Majesty. He showed us many royal recipes and showed us exotic creations made just from sugar that were destined for the Royal banqueting tables.
Daphne Atkinson thanked Colin for his brilliant talk and he was warmly applauded by attending members. Tea, coffee and a slice of homemade cake was enjoyed by all. The afternoon closed with the well received raffle.
