Silent Auction- A Quilt with Heart: Steffy’s Special Creation

Steffy Pawling is an avid crafter whose passion for quilting has brought joy to friends and family for years. Her regular trips to America—the home of quilting—mean her craft cupboard is filled with unique fabrics and patterns you won’t find in the UK.

When Steffy’s mother moved into the family home, she began making a special quilt as a heartfelt surprise. Sadly, her mother passed away before it was finished and for a while Steffy could not complete the project and stored it safely away. However, after a few years had gone by and to honour the memory of her mother, Steffy lovingly completed the quilt after three months of dedicated work.

Now, Steffy has generously donated this beautiful quilt to WFWI to help raise funds for the upkeep of WI House, where she worked happily as Federation Secretary for over 15 years. This unique piece is being offered to WI members through a silent auction—a wonderful opportunity to give this meaningful quilt a new home.
